Arbor Works is proudly kiwi owned and operated by Mike Bird. Mike has been in the arboricultural industry for 16 years, during which time he has become extremely passionate about what he does.
 
Mike started in the industry when he was 18 years of age, soon realising he'd found his chosen career. This lead to him training at the Waikato Polytechnic, achieving the Level 4 National Certificate of Arboriculture.
 
At 21 Mike moved to Australia, before moving onto the UK where he spent 10 years. He worked for the UK's largest arboricultural contractors, looking after large tree removal and pruning, in and around London. In his last 5 years in the UK Mike moved into a Contract Manager postion, operating/managing the prestigious Royal Parks contract.
 
Since returning, Mike has been contract tree climbing for various companies in Auckland and has discovered that there is a need in the market for someone to offer quality tree care at affordable rates.
